I went out on Sunday and ran a few sessions. It was a blast. I got used to the size of the car pretty quick. Coming from a 350Z it definately feels large. Anyways, my ******* forgot to make sure my GoPro was on so no vids. But I have some times. I ran 4 front and 5 rear for three of the laps. On the third I put all the shocks on 5 and was a second slower. I ran in STO but I believe someone mentioned that we belong in AS. Either way I ran one of the faster times on street tires.
Hope this isnt too hard to read.

Yeah, the Evo driver competes and thats his practice car. He's was killing it out there.
As far as the Boss it handled a lot better than I expected. Had I been able to get a few more lap times in I know I could of been faster. I say that because I felt a lot more confident in my 350z. I had run it a couple of times and I knew what the StopTech brakes and KW suspension could handle. For example the guy running the Solstice in SSM ran three seconds faster than me but the last time out I beat him in my Z.
The brakes felt good once I got used to them and the tires griped really good. I left the traction control on and meant to take it off on the last run but didnt. I have another one in two weeks and I'll make sure to do that and actually take some video.
The suspension felt really good and solid. Didnt feel a lot of roll through the slalom and she went right where I pointed her. I was surprised to get three clean runs. Everyone could tell the difference between mine and the GT500.

I believe the GT500 was an '09. He had an intake and tune I believe. But thats it. The Solstice GXP was driven by two guys. It has a lot of mods. Bigger turbo, KW V3 coilovers, race brake pads, R compounds, engine tune, exhaust, and other suspension upgrade. Pretty easy car to whip around an autocross.
The RX7 running in XP has an LS1 in it and is completely gutted and a dedicated track car. Definately a beast. I'm just happy I beat the Vette's.
And the one in SS had R compounds. Had to be the driver.

Oh yeah, GT500s dont like to change direction and then you've got alot of silly power on tap. Still though I'd probably do the same. I used to get the chance to go out to some product demos for Bridgestone and at the end of the day Bridgestone would set up an auto-x for the people who showed up. Lots of fun.
I've been really thinking about finding a nice used 05 or 06 GT to maybe mess around with. I figure they are getting pretty cheap and when I put summer tires and Ford's FRPP suspension on my old 07 GT I was really impressed (easliy the sweetest handling car I've ever owned)

If you put the stability and traction control in sport mode it puts the steering in sport also. Just press brake down hit traction control button 2 times and it should read sport mode on the display. Also if you press the brakes and hold button for 5 seconds it turns everything off.
