Well we had SO much fun last weekend that we're already planning the 2nd Annual Mustang/Ford Roundup! We have invited the Ford executives back again to make this even bigger and better next year! I've been working with George Anderson, President of Motorsports Park Hastings on the schedule, and we're expanding it to three days! We'll kick things off with a track school and open track time Friday afternoon for those that want to start early, or for those new to tracking their car. We'll have a welcome reception and car show Friday night to get things going, and the full slate of competition Saturday and Sunday including car show, autocross, drag racing and road racing. We're also going to expand things into 3 or 4 classes next year including vintage and AC Cobras.

22nd Mustang/Ford BBQ in Clubhouse from 5PM-8PM

23rd Who's The BOSS of the Mustang's - 9AM-2:30PM
Top Ford - Overall Winner & Wrangler awards 3PM

MPH is located in Hastings, NE and opened in 2006. The facility is one of the finest I've seen anywhere. 1,571 miles, 1 day and 1 hr according to Google Maps (what, driving 24 hrs a day?) but we'll be there with the 2 FR500S's

Not as far as High Plains where I was 2 weeks ago. 1950 miles 29 hrs from FL . That was for just 1 day of lapping.

Time to go bed in some new pads for next weekend, (probably) the last track event before the snow flies.

 

Snow? What's Snow? It don't snow in Sunny CA ! Oh, maybe close to where 5 Dot 0 lives, but not in the Bay Area

 

I thought this was a long ways away till I checked on my map program. 1150 + miles and 18 hours of drive time. Thats not bad at all. Just need to find a trailer this coming spring and I might just make it there. All I need to do then is continue on MMP in Utah for my Track Attack. This event sounds like a great time! It would be nice to see something like this at Watkins Glen though as it is only 1.5 hours away!

 

My wife views snow as a cost saving measure. Tire budget goes to zero from Nov-Mar

 

JBG pulled from AZ this year and I think it was over 1000 miles. You could establish a new record next year. However, we did have two guys from Switzerland. They didn't trailer their cars though

 

Lotta travel going on next year...maybe I will fly out and rent a 'vette if I have some cash left over

Unless this JBG character has a stacker and would be willing to tow my car out as well for a nominal fee
