Now there's an idea. I wonder how the local Hertz is stocked on Mustang GT's?

Aww, dang, had a feeling it'd be the same weekend next year. My anniversary, which doesn't entirely preclude attending, but it's the same weekend as the NASA RM Pikes Peak event, at least the preliminary date. Maybe I can get them to change as I'd really like to be there with all the Mustangs (as long as it doesn't rain, of course).

MPH is waaaaayyyyy better than PPIR... and I'm not just saying that because of the Roundup.

The owner of AST-USA posted on Facebook that he went to Hertz to pick up his rental car for one of the continental challenge races and it was a 6 speed GT. Didn't know they had manuals. No Brembos though

Quite true, and the RM region hasn't yet announced any crossover events to Hastings, so maybe I'd do this instead regardless. Would love to see all the Stangs, and I'm sure my father in law would bring his Boss (collector's piece unfortunately, doubt he'd put it on the track).

Just hope I don't bring the rain with me!

Maybe you did this already this year, but you should have an annual award for the person that comes the farthest with their car. (A rotating plaque sort of thing)

That's further than me. I'm 1,455 miles and about 1,440 of it is on I-80.

I'd need plenty of nodoze to make it especially driving across Nevada and Utah. If I go I'll be flying.

In the 2007 One Lap we went from Mid America to Miller 967 miles left MAM @ 1330 and arrived at SLC Airport @ 0130. Avg 75 mph.

Just heard MAM plans to reopen this month for a few track days before winter hits. That would cut 4 hours of round trip time off my track days. FSD airport to MAM.......all I-29 you can average 80 pulling a trailer 5 hours down to Hastings today for 5 hours or so of track time tomorrow then 5 hours back

Great to hear MAM will reopen. Need to get BIR on my agenda too. Maybe I'll be home one weekend next summer.

I am lucky with 4 tracks, Sebring Daytona Homestead PBIR, within 3.5 hrs max from home and we can run year round. Within a days drive I can add Barber, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road, CMP and VIR.

Good news about MAM as it is a One Lap track in 2012

September 21-23, 2012!

Well it's -6F this morning and it sure doesn't feel like track weather, but it will be here before you know it. To get us thinking about warmer days I wanted to let you know that registration for the 2nd Annual Mustang and Ford Roundup is now OPEN! We had a great time last year and I know this year's going to be even better. There were several of you that couldn't make it because of schedules so I wanted to get this out as early as possible so you can save the dates. With all of the 2012 Bosses out now and half of the 2013s by this September, I expect the turnout to be even better than last year! There were several Mustang GTs, Cobras and an FR500S last year and this year I'm hearing of many more that are attending. I'll continue to update with more exciting details as the date gets closer, but here's an incentive to sign up early!

Sign Up before April Fools Day 2012 and get free Guardrail Club Track Time Friday September 21st, 1-3PM!!!!

Probably a stupid question, but where is the roundup being held? Not familiar with MPH.
