2013 Boss
That is off topic, and some of us here who also have law degrees disagree with you. I believe in what my wife says when I start creeping up speedwise on the highway, 'drive just as fast as you want to, as long as you can afford the ticket.'
The whole system is designed to assign points to people who disregard traffic laws. That is the whole point of driver suspensions. You make a civil agreement with the state that says "I promise to obey the rules in exchange for operating an inherently dangerous machine on public roads." This is the whole point of the point system. It isn't some nefarious concoction of the insurance industry.
I think we should all agree that excessive driving should be limited to the racetrack, which is why there is no street racing discussion allowed in this forum.
Congratulations on your 2013, I'm excited to see photos of it later this year.

This only applies to Florida as I am not aware how things work in other states. I hate to say this, however, you should never just pay the ticket as it is an admission of guilt. I know this is off topic and it may not be popular with some of the site members, however, you should never admit to anything, even if you are guilty. Our justice system punishes people who make admissions and admit guilt. The problem with paying the first few is 1. the suspensions, 2. the fact that convictions on your record make it more difficult to get a good plea on the possible next ticket that you receive that may be unbeatable, 3. the suspensions get longer and easier to get after the first point suspension, 4. the first suspension leads to more suspension for DWLSR, 5. the third DWLSR is a felony. Also, never admit that you knew your license was suspended as, depending on the circumstances, DWLSR with knowledge is a more substantial charge. And of course, words to live by, never waive your Miranda rights, never consent to a search of your body, car, boat, personal items, or home, always remain silent, always refuse consent to any type of search, never sign a waiver of any rights, and always demand your lawyer.

warning****below is off topic, however I must respond.
I am unclear, do you have a law degree and if so, are you an attorney? Also, to my knowledge there is no law against excessive driving. Further, there was no mention of street racing anywhere in anything I have written. You are free to pay all of the tickets you wish to pay. You can even send the state extra funds for those times you speed or violate the law, and no citation is written. There is nothing to agree or disagree with what I wrote, it is my advice as a practicing attorney to clients or potential clients in Florida. I do not advise a client to take a plea or plead guilty unless it is in their best interests. I do not work for the government and if I have a problem with a client or what they have allegedly done, I do not have to represent them. Are you disagreeing with my advice or are you not happy with what that advice. If you are an attorney, then you are free to advise your clients to plead guilty to everything that they are alleged to have done. If that is the case good luck getting respect from your clients, other attorneys, and the judges that you appear before. I do not have that problem.

That i know of, There are 2 laws for excessive driving otherwise interpreted as 1 reckless driving and 2 unsafe start. You can call it whatever you want and argue your case in font of judge. Good luck!

In Florida Reckless Driving is defined as "any person who drives any vehicle in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property." I would never do that and would have to plead not guilty to that charge. Excessive simply means too much. Too much driving? Unsafe start, really?
Atilla,
I did not say that you were discussing street racing, did I? I guess we would have to disagree over laws against excessive driving, in my next of the woods it's called "Careless and Imprudent." I am pretty sure that in the original context I was not equating excessive driving with miles driven, and that was clear from the context of my post.
You can give unsolicited legal advice all you want here, that doesn't mean that I am not going say that I approve of your approach to these situations or that it's really O/T on this board. That's your .02, and mine is mine. I think we should just stick to the discussion of the new B2 car you have ordered. I'm going to refrain from further comment on this.

so..... about that 2013 Boss?
Honestly, I thought I liked the 2013 Mustang right when the photos were released, and there are some aspects I like (probably the only one who likes the Shelby style front end and HIDs).
I just cannot get over the painted rockers making the car look fatter, and the rear end I'm dis-liking more and more as I see it. A lot of people didnt like all of the unpainted ABS plastic on the rockers and the bottom of the rear bumper, but I think it made it look a bit more aggressive, with the rear diffuser and all. I just think the 2013 license plate surround area takes up too much real estate, and the bottom of the rear bumper does not look as aggressive as the 10-12's.
Some people say that the 2013 is growing on them... it's actually growing off of me, and think I'll be picking up a used 2012 Boss when the prices come down a little.

I do not like the front end as it looks like Shelby. However, the improved cooling, the HID's, and that little dash screen to measure 0-60 and other stuff, plus a bluetooth phone connection makes the car more use able off the track.

Just back from NAIAS. Love the now Boss, doesn't look fat in person, just muscular. As for nose, if it works better, and it apparently does, I'm all for it. I want a matched set. No gotta have it green though, although that too was better in person than I expected.
