Will Mustang Catch up?
I actually went to the dark side and bought a Scat Pack (8A) and got Alliance pricing which is 1% below invoice without any questions. It was about $2K more than a equally optioned Mustang with X-plan. I never considered buying a Dodge before, but when I saw the interior redesign and available 485 hp in the R/T I needed to check it out and was sold once I drove it. The paddle shifters are the quickest I have ever experienced (outside of a supercar) and the active exhaust is pretty awesome (no need for an aftermarket system). In the end, it came down to getting another Mustang or venturing out and trying a Challenger. Due to this vehicle being my daily driver the Challenger won out since I have 2 boys that need the rear seat room with a useable trunk. I'm sure I will come back to a Mustang in the future (even sooner if I can talk my wife into getting a GT convertible).
Good luck with the '15 Mustang guys, it is a beautiful car. What a great time to love horsepower.

We should all be happy that there is a modern muscle car war going on right now. Everyone benefits
! For me, I have no brand loyalty, I'll take the car with the best bang for my buck.

Personally I have nothing against the Challenger, as it's a very nice looking car and for only 2k more than the 15 GT, I can certainly understand and respect your decision for going with the Challenger and in the end what matters most, is finding the right car that makes you happy and meets your individual needs
Let's face it, dealers are a necessary evil. They will bend you over any way they can.
However, I have had a few (and I mean one or two) sales people that I would love to deal with again, but trying to find them when it is time to upgrade or trade in is rare if not impossible.

While I'm a big supporter of buying what you like, if you're saving for a Camaro that's great, but why troll a Mustang site putting down a car that people love? Do you have an inordinate amount of time in your life to waste trashing other people's purchasing decisions? How about instead of wasting time here, you should be using the time you have to earn more money so you can buy the car you love.
This is a Mustang site, the people here are looking forward to their purchase or are enjoying their cars and are excited about them. I'd suggest since you want a Camaro, you should join a Camaro site and learn all that you can about your car and enjoy the hobby of ownership like we do here. Have a Happy New Year and good luck buying your Camaro!!

Looks are subjective! Example, i think the 2015 Mustang front end is but ugly and looks like a chick car and its marketed for girls! You see how i did that?

Although we all have the right to voice our opinions, it was your negative remarks that were taken as being so offensive and disrespectful..
Just because you may not like the new 2015 Stang, shouldn't be used as some lame excuse for putting others down that do and if anything, being that your also a Mustang owner, you should be giving congrats to your fellow Mustang enthusiasts and wish them nothing but the very best..
And just for the record, although I'm neither a Camaro or GM fanboy, I'd still give you congrats by providing constructive and positive feedback because what matters most in the end, is what you really like and are happy with..
Being that you own a 2014 Mustang GT, the last thing you should be posting on a Mustang site, is coming across as a troll by putting down your fellow Mustang enthusiasts for choosing their 2015 models..

I'll be the first to admit that I used to be "that guy" on some of these forums and would be confrontational and argumentative for no reason at all or just because someone had a different point of view about a particular car. It's ridiculous and I'll never do it again. I have my reservations about the front end of the 2015 Mustang but you know what, it's not that bad and its not the end of the world. There are a lot of guys that like the new car and that's all that matters in the end. That means that Ford will continue to sell Mustangs and after all is said and done that's what I really want to see is the continuation of this great car.
I remember when they came out with the 1994 car. There were a lot of guys that absolutely hated it because it was such a departure from the Fox Body look. I can even remember guys that really disliked the 2005 car because it was such a huge change from the SN95.
In the end, we are all Mustang owners and there is no point in one Mustang owner trying to tell another Mustang owner that he has made a bad decision or committed some kind of unpardonable sin because he bought a car that you don't like the look of. The 2015 is still going to be a great performing car and love it or hate it the car will successfully carry on the Mustang heritage. I see no reason to create hard feelings with anyone here just because they bought a 2015 and I bought a 2014 as though it's some sort of competition or right of passage. All you 2015 guys are alright with me, just like any other Mustang owner here.
That's your opinion and that's fine, but a few years ago GM had commercials on YouTube that had 2 gay dudes in short shorts with the Chevy logo on their butts washing the car. It was like the commercials you see with hot chicks in bikinis but with gay guys.

I have a 2015 that I plan to enjoy for a long time. A side note, to everyone that says wait until 2017 or 18 for a refresh, life is to short to keep waiting for something you want. When 2018 gets here you'll have people saying wait until 2020 and so on. Just my 2 cents.
Your thoughts are fine and I think as others have stated its your opinion and a free country. But when you put down people for choosing to buy a 2015 Mustang, well that's when your opinion changes and gets interpreted as trolling. As a Mustang owner yourself, I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone on here said that all 14's are but ugly and a "chick" car. Or how about I say that I can't understand why anyone would buy a 14 Mustang. Wouldn't that make you feel that they were trolling? If you don't like something, that's fine- you can even state that, but don't put people down for buying one and just congratulate them on becoming fellow Mustang owners or new members into this "club" of sorts. You want a Camaro? That's great for you! I'm happy that you want a car that you love and care about. Personally I'm not a fan, but that doesn't mean I don't respect people for buying one or put them down. It's a great car with a pretty long pedigree and I for one was unhappy GM dropped the Firebird/Camaro from the lineup earlier in the 21st century. I'm glad at least Camaro made it back because competition always makes a better product and the new Mustang proves that in every way. Bring on the 16 Camaro and let the "pony wars" continue!!

I tried to join the crapmaro forums to be a troll but any username combination with the word 'gay' was already taken!

When the new Camaro hits the streets its going to eat the 2015 Mustangs lunch! Surprising to me is all the 2015 Mustang owners that suddenly dont care about straight line speed hahaha! Must be a lot of previous Honda owners that bought the new Japanese looking Mustang! I would expect a new Toyota Corolla to be slower than the outgoing model, not a Mustang! Im saving for the new Camaro, becouse i like to go fast in a straight line as well as a turn!
Who says the '15GT isn't about straight line speed? You do realize on the road course the '15 GT PP out laps a Boss 302 between 2.5 to 4 seconds on the same track, driven by the same drivers back to back? The much hailed 1LE is 5 seconds slower to 150mph vs. '15GT PP.
Enjoy your new Camaro. You seem to be a very narrowminded individual based on your Honda comment. For reference, I have owned 9 V8 Mustangs since 1991.

Therefore I completely understand why so many people love the new Mustang and I happen to be one of them.. When compared to my current 06 GT, the interior quality is light years ahead and with the addition of IRS, forged internals and all new platform, we now have a Mustang that is more refined, better handling and can still compete at the track in a straight line..
So what is there not to like about the new Mustang ? As Ford has finally brought the Mustang into the 21st century, and just as you mentioned in your post the 2015 will continue to be a great performing car for many years to come and will indeed carry on the Mustang heritage as a direct result as well
