Not trying to be argumentative here with this question - in what manner do you think it would contribute?

And with regards to the original topic, I sincerely hope that a redesign of a remote shifter mechanism is done or the transmission updated to eliminate the need for the remote set-up.

MT82 is the smoothest trans I have ever used. Idiots are what they should eliminate.

My VW GTI shifted WAY smoother than this transmission... even the 6-speed POS in my '07 Wrangler shifted smoother.

Not saying this one is bad or i don't have confidence in it, just saying it is not smooth by any stretch of the imagination... unless you are shifting over 4K RPM then it is smooth as butter (except that stupid 2-3 shift).

I own an 11 and I've year driven a '13, they have done something different with the 13+ to make the trans wayyyyyy more smooth. I remember something like phosphate coated gears maybe? Either way, you're correct the the 2013+ mustang GT's are far smoother with a lighter clutch as well. But the 11-12's seems to be the troublesome ones

I believe the playskool quality shifter is the biggest problem. Especially when the engine is twisting under power. My MGW shifter has been my best mod yet, even topping my engine mods. I think I read the 13's have a different fluid which helped.

Maybe a little pilot error, but in this case a lot of ford fail too
I still feel that the way the ratios are spec'd out confused numerous people given the large number of complaints on downshifting. Many IMO were simply selecting the wrong gear ratio. They were using the same gear number that they would use for a typical mustang 5spd, but the MT-82 is set up with first being an extra gear. Thus, 2nd is like first in a T-45, 3rd is like 2nd and so forth. Someone who didn't try to figure out the car but instead forced it, could very likely cause damage. It would at the very least explain why downshifts couldn't be accomplished because it was too severe of a speed difference.
