What the hell is FORD thinking???????????

If they think that stupid looking Kia looking crap is to be called a "Mustang" they must really be taking some really bad drugs. It sure don't look like a Mustang and putting a four cylinder in it is like a kick in the ba$$s if you ask me. A really stupid move from Ford on this Mustang downgrade.

#2 You'd really balk at a turbo 4 if it had more power/torque and less weight than the current V6? Whatever they do it won't downgrade the current entry level car, whether it be Turbo4 or V6.
#3 Calm yer ****
Kia looking crap? Based on which actual photos you've seen? Even the renderings don't look like that.
Also, can't understand the obsession over not offering the 4-cyl. There's been no word that it is replacing the 3.7 anyhow so besides an ego thing that you drive a muscle car offered only in v6/v8, what's the harm in offering more choice?

So is thise a pointless rant thread over some basic assumptions and hasty generalizations?
The new turbo 4 is most likely euro-specific. The v6 and v8 will still be here in america, i hvnt seen a single rwnder that screams Kia to me, i hvnt seen a single render or design thats Ford official. And im thinkin you just want some attention here.
Well congrats you got it!!!

Either way theres gonna be a turbo 4 in the next gen mustang. But i really hope ford doesnt screw this up. If pricing is too high on the gt an gt500 models, i might just spring for an 03 cobra.
How is it a ricer just cuz it has 4 cylinders? You know wht r.i.c.e. stands for right? I have a very strong feeling the 4 cyl mustang isnt gonna some rice toy, most guys that do that to their cars cant afford a stang anyway so no worries
I bet if you couldn't hear, never drove any of them prior to the event...
got in and drove the 4L V6 from 2010, the 3.7L V6 from 2012 and a 4banger turbo with over 300hp back to back....most would guess them wrong.

See how I can also make this true with the current model, bud.

Most people won't even know the difference between engines anyway. Heck, woman I work with is wanting to put money on her Infinity sedan against my svt. Like I said, no idea. (it's stock complete with baby seats, not starting that argument)

I am betting the price on the GT and SVT will be higher. The issue going forward is average fleet MPG and basically you have to sell less of the low MPG cars. Unfortunately, that means they will have a higher sticker price or lower availability which will cause ADMs anyway as we've seen. However you look at it, I'm expecting to see a much lower production of the muscle. Granted this is all opinion based on what I've read.
THe ammount of V8s sold in the lineup on the Mustang is a drop in the bucket.
F-150 on the other hand....
It has, you are correct, I expect it to come to fruition this time for some reason, pessimist maybe.

And a wing that adds 50 hp.
