Those of you who dislike/hate the 2015
Where do I start: This 2015 looks like it was designed by some kid who had a box of Japanese,Euro,Korean parts laying around. It's like the kid had a picture of a new Honda accord coupe to draw cues from. For the rear will try and be trendy with a cool angle, the side will make look like a Nissan Q60,the top will borrow from a modern Camaro, and the front (ran out of ideas from that box) will just slap a Fusion on there!
Now lets move on to the mess of a interior! Squares and circles, combined with wheel heater switches and then some airplane flippy things (just to be different)...oh ya and we better throw in a push button start thingy for all the cool kids! (opps we forgot where to put it) ah just stick it anywhere it won't matter!
The only thing this mess of a car has to do with our beloved Mustang is a beautiful V8 (thank god they didn't mess that up) and a pony in the front grill! Other then that, ford should be ashamed to release this thing as the 50th!

As far as jumping ship to a chevy? I looked at the new camaro 'for real' at the auto show, originally thought it was 'meh' , after seeing, sitting in it, absolutely hate the car- if somone gave me one id trade it for a fusion or something. The challenger looked great in pics, looked better 'for real', and sitting in one was kinda 'meh' but still a desirable car- even if a mopar.
Time will tell on the 15 mustang, i truly hope it does well for ford- my guess is it will not hit half the numbers of the 05 demand, and expect it to barely edge out the camaro sales numbers if at all- even in its big intro year. I worry getting too typical styling wise could send the mustang the way of the 03 camaro.
I really wish ford woulda sold the s550 as the falcon worldwide, and kept the mustang a more affordable fun ponycar... Afraid the base price in a stagnant economy is alienating the 'mustang' from its traditional market. To those who are unconcerned with traditionl mustang stuff, why not build a better mousetrap and sell it with new name, with low base price/ low content stuff like axle, no nav, etc left to the lowly mustang- with options though of course... Too much base content elevates pricetag in a economy where wages havent budged... Sounds to me like ford has thrown caution to the wind if not simply just written off the traditional base mustang buyer.

So isn't that saying you love the looks of the S-197 because of it's retro styling
Did I read what you just posted correctly ? As I'm really confused here as your previous posts stated that you consider the current S-197 is being so special because of the car's retro looks..

In the meantime, thank you very much for clearing everything up
I am convinced you love the car and are trying to scare off buyers so you can get it at a good price. No one short of PETA would be so obsessed with spending their days telling everyone how much they dislike something that they aren't forced to like or purchase. You have the same point of view as a 2 year old, "I hate this and I need to scream till the world knows". Honestly what is your goal posting the same nonsense in every thread? We get it, you don't like the car. Cool story bro
Lmao. That was a huge huge brain freeze on my part. I always get confused for some reason when talking about models in numbers like s197's, SN95's Lol

I will surprise NO-ONE by telling you that I love the look of that Mach rendering. Than again, I love it all. Hey, to each his own. I just want to hear from all the haters a year from now. No doubt many of you still won't be fans. But, I will be surprised if there aren't a significant number of new opinions.

I have a 2014 gt500. As an S197 owner I am a bit biased. Looks wise I give my current car a 9. From the picture (I stress pictures because nothing compares to in person) I give the s550 a 7. Now if I had to choose a gt 2014 or a new gt 2015 I would be all over the 2015. It is an all around better car! It looks darn good! I am honestly scared to see what the SE mustangs will be. If there is an SVT with a turbo coyote... I will be losing a lot of money on a trade in hahaha
I love the new vette, however I feel bad enough putting my 13 year old in the back of the mustang from time to time.. A tow rope would be just wrong. There is no doubting that the current and almost certainly the new Camaro is an outstanding American Muscle car. NOT my thing, but many people reasonably enjoy the heck out of them.
It's a great time to be a fan of American Muscle Cars!

I like the new 2015 but I can't say I love it. I bet when I see it in person I will.
However having seen the Corvette both online and in person I don't like it. Not even in the slightest. It's just odd looking. Someone was trying too hard.

I wasn't thrilled with the SN95 but I bought one. The New Edge grew on my quickly so I bought one in '99 then traded it for an '01 Cobra. I didn't like the S197 (still don't) but I eventually found my way to buying one. The '13 redesign grabbed my attention so I bought the Boss.
Overall, I like the new design. Some of the early renders turned me off. I'm still not sure about the shape of grill, headlights or rear end. I really like the fastback roof line and the long hood profile. I think it's safe to say that I will eventually own one but it's not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows over here. I've got some issues to be addressed and/or clarified before one will ever grace my driveway. Time will tell but the odds are looking pretty good.

I am all about the 2015 mustang. I firmly believe it's going to be a huge success and anticipate getting one of the first few SE (Boss, Mach, gt350...). I look forward to the awesome interior, the improved handling afforded by the IRS, the more potent power train... I'm just all about everything about the stang. I will go as far as saying that it might just be the best looking mustang of all time and I've owned a several. Again this is opinion ONLY!
But, I know that some of you just aren't into the 2015 stang. So for those of you who just aren't into it, what I'm asking is that 1 year from release, come back online and give your opinion. I'm going out on a limb and predicting that well over 80% are going to be in love. All I ask is that you are all honest.
I can't wait to see it in person and to hear reactions from the rest of you when you do. I haven't heard anything negative from anyone who has seen it in person. There must be a reason!

I think that's a really reasonable request. My initial response to the 2015 have been nothing short of disappointment. Not just with the Fusion front end, but even more so with the strangely slanted deck lid of the tail. And yes, I've seen the 60s mustangs, and the tail lights look similar on the 2015, but EVEY SINGLE 60s Mustang had a vertical or nearly vertical deck lid, much like my 2014 does. The ~30degree slant on the 2015 is making me really dislike the car. Every picture I see I dislike. I am jealous of the IRS, and BOSS power train, and I very well realize the 2015 will leave my 2014 GT Track Pack in the dust. (I race my Mustang). But if I'm going to spend the kind of money a Mustang GT costs, I have to be happy with it. And looks is ~half of the equation.
There are a few modified renders out there I like. Maybe even something as simple as adding grill mounted fog lights will make me change my mind. But I can't say for sure until I see the car a number of times in real life. So I will check back a year from now and let you know if my opinion has evolved. Cheers.
