For those complaining about front end
I think the Big Issue here is that People who Only See Fusion/ Aston Martin, are Focusing on the Shape of the Upper Grill Opening Only, and not looking at the Upper and Lower Opening as One Big Opening with the "Bumper" separating it into Upper and Lower halves. Much like the Grill Opening on the 68 Shelby Mustang, which as I posted before, was the inspiration for the 05-11 GT-500 and Entire 12-14 Mustang lineup, and now the 2015.
One thing that was mentioned early on by Jay Mays, was they wanted to lower the front bumper height from the S-197's height and eliminate the huge shelf from the front of the car, which added too much visual weight to the nose of the car. In doing this, the designers lowered the "Bumper Bar" that bisects the grill opening but kept the overall shape of the grill the same.

If you look closely at the Grill Opening of the 68 Shelby pictured above, you will notice it's Upper Section also has a hint of the turned in corners at it's lower outboard ends, which is where People are getting the "Aston Martin" from on the 2015. It is however a Mustang that the 2015 (as well as the Evos) derives it's Grill shape from, but it picks up on in a fresh and modern way by lowering the Bumper in that opening a bit further.

To be fair, even though People say that the 2015 Mustang's Grill (and a lot of People say that Fusion's Grill) looks lika an Aston Martin's it really only bears a passing resemblance to an Aston Martin's Grill, the Aston Martin Grill has a Very Distinct and Pronounced inward curve at its Upper Outboard Ends, below the Headlamps, before changing angle and tapering inward.

After looking at this, I can see how close they still slightly resemble the current car... I think they chose most of Theme A because it took a bigger departure from the current model. It looks like they incorporated the headlights of Theme B, though... did away with the "for show" grill-mounted fog lights and faux gas cap, entirely!
I actually like Theme A the best with maybe one of the hoods from B or C.

Ironically this isn't the first time that the Mustang and Aston Martin have shared similar designed front ends...
The 10-12 Mustang bears More than a passing resemblance to the 79-89 Aston Martin V8 Vantage, which in turn was Admittedly Inspired by the 69-70 Mustang's Fastback Styling...

Ugh, good point TampaBear, I totally see the front!
And I like it!
But meanwhile the back of the '15 is un-frikkin-forgiveble to me. Wow! If it wasn't for the slanted deck lid, i'd be eh with it, but between those ridiculous tail lamps and the slanted deck lid this re-design is completely lost on me. I factory-ordered a 2014 GT, and I can't even begin to explain how HAPPY I am that I did, because even though I love the side, and can tolerate the front of the 2015, the rear end makes me nauseous.
I'd totally prefer the Aston rear...
The 2015 rear reminds me of a Renault Megane, and that car haunts my dreams:

I don't see it either.. If anything ! it mostly resembles the sloping fastback of the 65-68 Mustangs in which the 67-68 fastback was my favorite body style

we did get front row seats for the show, was really a cool day. I had been a floyd fan since about '78 when I helped a buddy put a stereo in his car, only tape he had was his sisters 'wish you were here' drove around for hours listening to that was hooked ever since. was so weird hoping to win front row seats to a show and by dumb luck, they came out to see us...man that was a great day.back on the frontend topic- I wonder...theyve had 2 door falcons and falcon 'utes' in Australia for a while, to me this new mustang 'feels' more like a evolution of that car than the mustang to me... the only really mustanglike thing I see is tribar taillamps, but a lot of the other lines seem very similar to other bits and pieces on the market... its not 'ugly' to me, but just no longer unique/unmistakable/whatever...the 05 you could tell was a mustang from any angle from several blocks away, and my eyes aint that good...the 15 to me just seems a bit too typical, especially head-on.
Perhaps when production variants come to light, Ford might easily 'mustang it up' a little more- but I still dont understand why they had to veer so far away from what was one of the most welcomed redesigns (05) before selling it anywhere else? nor do i get why the 'ute' wasnt shipped over here- I think I mighta been tempted to get one of the boss330 utes, was a kinda neat little elcamino/ranchero thing, even if a little bland.

I LOVE it.
