For those complaining about front end
I'm a bit confused. I agree front looks similar to a Fusion(albeit FAR more aggressive) especially the grille, but then, doesn't the current Mustang have a very similar grille opening?
Please help me understand what makes these two front ends radically different, and why some are hating on the 2015 front end and claiming it doesn't look like a mustang "at all". Not at all? Really?
Here is the 2014 vs the 2015:
Not sure the competition is really close, 2015 instantly dates the current model. Absolutely love it.
Btw this has been bugging me so much I registered just to post it. Please share the picture around.

The '14 still has the look of a Mustang. The '15 doesn't look anything like a Mustang- from any year!
It will be a very nice sports car but it ain't no Mustang.

On the one hand, Ford's "fish mouth" has become their corporate front, and on the other hand "fish mouth" has been seen on Mustangs from decades back. So wouldn't it be correct to say Fusion, and for that matter, any of Ford's latest, look like Mustang?

I finally remembered to look up the images of the 2015 Mustang today...
My first thought was "THIS was what all the held breaths were about?!? Other than screwing up the front end a bit, it looks like pretty much the same car..."
My second thought was "Glad I went ahead and purchased a '14."
Does it look like a Mustang? Well, since it is one I suppose it does. Is it the "radical departure from the retro design of the S197" Ford promised? No.
All they did was slap the standard Ford front end on the Mustang. As I've mentioned before, its a look I don't particularly like, but it still looks better than a Camaro.

This place is starting to sound like a bunch of Corvette owners. The pic doesn't do the car justice. It is distinctly Mustang when you lay eyes on it. To the OP, nice work. Any chance you can do that with all sides?

Personally, I've never preferred the Shelby snout over the GT and I was disappointed the 13/14 forced that on the GT. Shelby front belongs on Shelby's. IMO

Thanks for that photoshop!
Please do one without an badge in the grill.....I don't think anyone could tell what the car looked like and I would bet almost no one would think "mustang". Other cars might jump to mind but not a mustang.

It's fine....I don't really care....I have zero interest in buying one. Ford already built I always wanted, so I thank them for that.
It will be interesting to see how this car is received by the general public...will they like it? Will they want it?
The car is going to be expensive....how many people are willing to pay that kind of money for a TWO door car?
Is Ford hoping to see much higher sales then they currently have with Mustang? And do they think an expensively featured SPORTS car is what people want to buy?
Time will tell.

Well, considering it's one-piece nosecone maybe the aftermarket could cater to those who don't like the factory catfish mouth. Maybe two big nostrils like a horse. I'm sure Pontiac won't mind.

Well..... The 2015 Mustang is 'what it is'. Nothing we can do about it. Aftermarket will make different grills, etc. Some people love the 2015 (i do), some people hate the 2015. Its like this everytime a new model comes out. Just saying.................
