I put the sport lowering springs on my 2016 GTCS 3 weeks ago. When I hit a bump or pothole there is a thud sound from the front. Almost a bottom out sound? Any ideas!

 

If you have stock struts they may be bottoming out (hitting bump stops) = chassis sits lower so less/limits suspension travel (lower profile bump stops or stiffer strut setting could help)

 

Stock shocks cannot handle the lowering. They are built to dampen to the stock height, and not just damp out the motion, like the aftermarket ones do. If you didn't swap them, well, swap 'em.

 

Which shocks do you guys recommend? W/o breaking the bank

Hello Allen,

There could be a couple solutions here but would like to rule out that the springs were installed correctly. We have had a couple of instances where the springs were installed incorrectly & caused popping.

Also, it will be recommended to change out the mounts.
