SPARE TIRE FOR GT WITH PP

I would like a spare tire for a '15 GT with the PP pkge. Driving without a spare won't work for me and the Tire Mobility Kit provided as a replacement does not make sense to me. Run flat tires (although I am not a fan) would be better! Perhaps someone from Ford might have a solution?

Check with your parts department. There is a spare tire kit available. I ordered mine the day I picked up the car. It was $250.00, includes the hardware to install, the tire and jack. Here is a photo of the spare installed in the trunk. If you get a flat on the rear, You may have to put the spare on a front wheel and move the front wheel to the rear due to the limited slip diff. something to check with your parts/service guys.

That spare will not fit on the PP Mustang. Wont fit over the brakes.

Verified by both of us on the '14s. Are they the same rear brakes on the 2015? If so, seconded.

Rears are the same on all the 2015s, as far as I know?

With the 9.5" rim and a 275 tire on the back, I don't know if it will fit on the front. The PP has staggered rims.

Is the spare the same diameter as the PP wheels? If its smaller in diameter it will cause a difference in speed across the axle and there in might be the problem with only being able to run a spare on the rear.

I'm not sure how a Torsen diff reacts to a constant difference in speed across the axle but on the older clutch type limited slip diffs it would cause them to wear out prematurely and when running a spare on a vehicle that allowed the spare to go in any position it was best to put the spare on the front and rotate the proper size tire to the rear.

Ford may have other reasons for not equipping the PP cars with a spare.

There is a guy that had his car delivered with 9.5" wheels and 275's all around.

Error on the assembly line

So, they fit

Not sure what you mean. I think all 4 wheels (both sizes) will fit on the front (Brembo brakes being the main issue). Turning circle might be reduced?
