On the SVT models, have a boost gauge, true oil temp/press and exhaust temp readouts.

I'd also love to see something like the BMW performance steering wheel. Display G-forces, lap times, etc. right on the wheel or the dash.
The BMW wheel is awesome..

Yep, that's it! I'd love a FRPP version of a wheel like that. Alcantara with thumb rests hiding the buttons and the readout on top.

I agree. There's way too much going on. It's a steering wheel for crying out loud!

Yeah, a bit much too much info - more distracting than clarifying, though I can see a simple rev scale, shift light thingy being very useful.

The reason F1 cars have readouts on the wheel is because they don't have a proper dash. Having an info-wheel AND a full set of regular gauges strikes me as....dumb.

+1. That wheel is almost a good idea. Almost.

Not to mention that the readout is positioned right where I put my hand.

I bet most of you would be singing a different tune if it was offered in a Mustang. The top of the wheel is for a shift light when red line is near. I found the wheel to be awesome...I saw it in an M3 and it was fabulous.

Does anyone think they'll drop the Shaker name for the Sony upgraded stereo option in 2014?

Notice Ford likes this idea...

See-through A-pillars: Through the use of transparent Plexiglas, the A-pillars are made partially transparent. And by using steel box construction, there is no loss of pillar strength.
"Invisible" B-pillars: The B-pillars curve inward at the top, giving the driver an unobstructed field of vision to the offset rear.

First on Volvo:

Then on the Start Concept:

Four-point safety belts. Experimenting with the next evolution in the seatbelt. This should come as no surprise, since the company invented and perfected the three-point seatbelt some 40 years ago. The SCC contains two prototype four-point belt systems: a crossover harness (X4 CrissCross) and a brace-type system (Center Buckle V4). The X4 CrissCross is essentially a three-point safety belt with the addition of a retractable diagonal chest-belt; when in place, the additional belt forms an "X" across the chest — thus the name. The Center Buckle V4 setup is similar to the five-point harness used in race cars, less the lower-front strap; it forms a "V" across the chest when in use.

I could see the invisible B pillar used on the next gen if the side and quarter panel window are seamless.

What if the pillar was painted black and the plexi tinted? wouldn't look so bad then.

Possibly......but I'd rather Ford try this out on other models first, so we get a chance to get used to it rather than using it on the Mustang.

wonder if they considered this after seeing Marcello's lexan louver idea... with the size of todays pillars, would be easy to get used to- even just a clear strip in the center would help...does look mighty odd though- think I'd prefer high strength steel in a more slender pillar if possible

I think the wheel is really cool and as an option on a track specific car i think it would make sense (it is from the M3 GTS correct?) but for a GT premium or something like that it is probably a little much. maybe just the shift lights on the SVT model or something like that would be cool.
