Picked it up today...
2. Called Triple Yellow due to a tri-coat paint process
3. The extra cost comes from the additional paint process and assembly line time.
Yellow is a color that is hard to uniformly paint a car in. To ensure the yellow is more uniform in appearance, Ford decided to use a non-standard Ford OEM paint process, and since this adds assembly time to the vehicle, they pass the cost to the customer.
The Ruby Red color gets a tinted clear coat for an additional cost as well, $395 vs $495 for the yellow.
Very NICE !!
You would not happen to be in N-E Wisconsin would you ??
Saw this exact car driving around my area a couple a weeks ago. When I caught up to it, it had a Broadway Ford (Green Bay) dealer sticker on the trunk lid.
This was the 1st 2015 I've seen on the road here around home.
When I was in Orlando (11/7-11/14) I rented a 2015 Premium EB and only saw 2 other 2015's around Orlando the whole week we were there !!
