Just curious. Anybody have any idea when the 2015 Mustangs will be available to rent? I told my wife if they're available by Christmas that would be a nice present since I can't afford one.

A convertible in the canyon roads in Yosemite would be a blast! Shame it will only be a V6.

I would have 0 interest in renting a V6 or even the Ecoboost.

You may have to wait a while for Hertz to add a '15 GT to their Adrenalin Package then.

I work in the Car Rental industry at the Detroit airport and, on the way to work yesterday passing National/Alamo's lot, I *think* I saw a one in DIB in their ready line, i.e., ready to rent. (It was 100 yards from my vantage point so can't be 100% sure.)

Here in Denver, saw a silver rental drive by me 2 days ago (had a fleet license plate)... So they are probably filtering out now...

Well there goes the "they have to have a V6 for the rental fleets because they don't want any turbos in their fleet" theory.

When I was at SFO a few weeks ago, when we went to get our rental, they had 2014 GT's, which I thought was interesting... They also had a few new Vette's to rent... So I would not be surprised to see Sixers and maybe a couple of the others in the mix...

Yeah SFO, LAX and the other higher traffic airports have the "exotic" collections. I forget their exact terminology, but it's something like that. They're always automatics. I've seen a silver GT/CS rolling around SF with Enterprise barcode tags on it.

Makes sense... It's like when we take our Mini in for service, we always get a automatic loaner... Although, last time we got one of the little Roadsters, which was actually fun (even with the flappy paddles)!

My wife & I are going to be down in Orlando Nov 7th-14th.

Booked a rental with Budget back on August 25th and spent the extra $100 or so for a V6 Mustang (vs. base cheapie econobox).

The Budget website still shows a picture of a 2013-14, but I'm hoping it will actually be a 2015 by the time we're down there two weeks from today !!

I'm not a gambling man, but my thinking is the Orlando airport will be one of the 1st to have 15's for rent and the bigger agencies (Budget, Hertz, etc) are likely to be the first to have them too.

I'll be disappointed if we end up with a '14, but it is the chance I'm willing to take ... at least ways it will be better than a little Kia or Chebby and I won't have to learn all the controls of what ever I would have ended up with.

Doug
