The next SVT model
My suspicion would be a year or so out post regular S550 release. No need to oversaturate the initial S550 intro and a year or so out may well just so happen to undercut the next Camaro intro (isn't that supposed to be MY 2016?) ... and the next Challenger/Cuda too (someone school me on dates here).
After "when" is "what?" I might suspect two SVT products: a GT350 (5.something flat-crank stripped down Boss replacement) and a GT500 (above motor but with a pair of turbos in the valley, fully fitted out per the current car). There's certainly precedence for such a line up and I would think room in today's lineup to support two such models. If the 2016 model lineup is looking a bit crowded, I could see the 3.7 V6 being dropped, being too redundant with the Egoboost 2.3.

OK so what about Roush, Saleen, Steeda etc. I don't think these companies will wait a model year out. There is no need.
How is it gonna hurt Ford in any way if they make the SVT Cobra. I could see holding off on the Mach 1, GT350 SEs but with the way people have been buying the GT500s even if it is a small production car, Ford should make it.
Also wasn't there an article saying the Trinity motor would still be used? I could see if they had to develops a whole new engine, like the Voodoo V8, but they don't.
I will admit I probably could have waited on this thread but this S550 reveal has got me so excited.

Wasn't that C&D that said that? I really can't see the trinity motor happening if the coyote intake had to be redesigned to fit under the S550's hood which sits at least an inch lower (IIRC). The Hood on the GT500 sits higher than the GT or sixxer hoods due to the taller deck and blower.
Not that I wouldn't like to see the results of trying to fit the trinity under the hood of the current car, but I imagine it would need some sort of serious power bulge or cowl hood to maintain the proper clearance.

I don't suppose there is enough room for them to lower the motor in the engine compartment?
