I'd say SVT, SE's don't usually pop up until the initial hoopla has died off and the marketing guys want to keep interest up or take some wind out the sails of a competitors new product.

 

Either way SVT will be responsible for developing it.

 

If it was an SE, no...that would be Team Mustangs wheelhouse.

Why have Team Mustang and SVT? Seems unnecessary for two in house tuners?

 

The Boss 302 was developed with Team Mustang and help from Ford Racing. Team Mustang was just a group of people within FoMoCo that had a special and known love affair with the Mustang that devloped the Boss 302 and the GT at the same time. The GT350 is all SVT.

Eh that looks ok. I bet itll be much easier to tell from GT models though. Id imagine much larger grill openings, lowered, new front splitter, different hood vents more like 03-04 cobra, new wing and of course those meats on all four corners

 

I would guess there would be no 5.0 on the fender either.

Uh. Team Mustang is the team that developes the car. (V6,Eco4,GT,SE etc)
SVT is an internal team that amps up their version of the existing cars that the various teams have developed.

Seperate groups.
Team Mustang are not tuners, they are the creators of the car itself.
Special Vehicle Team are 'inhouse tuners' if you will.
All very talented and passionate.

 

Team Mustang is name given to those directly responsible for the Mustang engineering for both the coupe and convertible platforms in V6 and GT model trims. SVT engineers and Ford Racing engineers enhance the base cars through collaboration with Team Mustang. I have also seen "Team Mustang" used to refer to other in Marketing and Design as well that are tied to this car.

It all starts with Team Mustang!

 

I like the picture posted by RedCandy5.0. The hood scoop is just gorgeous. With such a sophisticated design for the 2015 Mustang, it is easy to make small design changes and make a big difference. The 5.0 emblem may be more correct than we want to believe.

Question. Why do we believe its going to be called the GT350? or is that just something people are rolling with for now.

 

There was some ford marketing paperwork to order Marketing materials on the 2015 models that listed GT350 amongst 2015 ford models

 

That and the fact that Shelby American discontinued their version of the GT-350 at the end of 2013.
