New S550 Exhaust Sounds So Different

Check out this recent video of the new Roush axle back on a 2015 GT. Sounds like a completely different motor.

Yeah, I hear what you mean. Roush usually makes mean, nasty, raspy sounding exhaust. On the 2015 it seems a lot more toned down and mellow. Still sounds really good though, I think I like this sound better than on the S197.

It looks like an A/B based on the clamps behind the mufflers. The suitcase is probably what makes it sound so different.

The S550 exhaust has a metal raspiness at upper rpm's on all exhausts I have heard except for the Borla, which has the same sound as the S197 exhaust.

There is a chance they changed the design of the baffles and junk inside the muffler itself...

Also, all these different microphones can make one exhaust sounds completely different. Best to listen with same sound capturing equipment to really tell the real difference.

The exact opposite... The video clip of the '15 sounds a lot more deeper and throaty.
