sorry if you misconstrued my comment..... i dont disagree this is the real car however as we all know spy shots often happen with the cars conveniently parked somewhere and the spy photographers are alerted ahead of time. like the first shots of the IRS mule testing... from under the car... I was just raising the possibility that someone didn't violate protocol (and potentially lose their job) and instead the leak was more or less intentional to continue the viral buzz in the enthusiast community.

What's even more exciting than teaser shots you're supposed to see??? Teaser shots you're not supposed to see, that's what.

I will reserve my thoughts until a better view is presented. These are obviously hurried shots taken in poor lighting at poor angles with a poor quality camera, and they really don't tell us any more than we already could decipher from the shots on the track sans padding.
Gonna go out on a limb and say those headlights aren't production. (Early Camaro mules had funky headlights too.)
+1 and +1.
(I can't be the only one here getting tired of seeing 6G plastered all over EVERY friggin' thing related to the 2015, can I?)

Someone doesn't value their job...
To be fair, the article was posted on Autoweek first, not 6G:

I would almost be willing to bet the final lens covers are flat like the current Mustang and those covers are just being used on a mule because they are cheap.

Looks like my brother's lancer and an ugly fusion

Lol! So to read comments here and elsewhere, people are either complaining that it "only" looks like a refresh/evolution of the '13-'14 front end OR they are complaining it looks like a Fusion. Ford is damned if they do and damned if they don't...

I like what I see and it makes sense to me. Even the 2010-14 was described as being less retro but still keeping it familiar to the mustang faithful. This is a good way to bridge the gap to an even more modern evolution. I hope they have a similar tail light treatment to those of the current car and along with the triangle shaped quarter windows that have been leaked I feel this car will still have plenty 2005-14 styling cues to make it familiar. Even though it's not as different as I expected I think it is a good idea to keep it somewhat familiar to the current car.
My only issue with it and the current 2013-14 is that the base and gt models look to similar to the Shelby. Hopefully ford has something up their sleeve to differentiate the svt model from the gt significantly. The current model cheapens the look of the gt500.

+1000...had a chance for a '13 but grabbed a '12 instead, having that difference between the models was something that i really liked and still do...

I think the conspiracy theorists in here are over-caffeinated and are working overtime.
That front end doesn't look like a fusion. This is both good and bad. Good because I like it; bad because I'll want one and have to pay for a house first...

It's really difficult to see how the front end will flow with the rest of the car until I see the whole car. It's like seeing just a female's eyes with the face purposefully blocked out and then saying the female is ugly or pretty. The eyes by themselves may look ugly or pretty on their own, but until you see the whole person, you can't really judge them in their full context.
No offense to females...you can reverse that onto us guys too
