While the '13 GT500 is an exceptional car, most people aren't going to be able to afford it, and it's not going to be a high volume car. People waiting for details on the '15 Mustang are waiting on more than just power figures; new platform, styling, etc. Those are big changes. With the '05-current cars putting the Mustang back on the map, the '15 could be a huge evolution for the brand. Makes sense for people to wait. Then, if they aren't impressed or can't wait, they can jump on a '14 to satisfy them.

Forget waiting if you like and can afford a current stang. Buy a current model now that way you can enjoy it. One can always trade it in for a new one. Why buy a 2015? Hold off on the 2013 model and buy the 2020 model. Im sure they will be faster than the 2015. Enjoy what is out there if you like the current model. For me, I bought a 2011 stang. Love it, love the look. My favorite looking generation stang, just my opinion. Why wait if you can afford one and don't have a stang to ride.

Here is a list to use for deciding if you should wait for the 2015 next generation stang.
Wait, if you can not afford a current model.
Wait, if you don't like the 2010 to 2014 body style.
Wait, if you currently have a stang to enjoy and are happy with the year you have.
Buy now, if you were like me and didn't have a stang to enjoy.
Buy now if you love the look of the current stang as I did.
Why put off years to come when you can do today and enjoy your stang for years until the 2015 is out.If one is waiting because they think the 15 will be better and faster, there will always be faster and better.

I am seriously conflicted on this one. I own a low mile Cobra that is just awesome but worth more than I think it's worth. Do a sell it and buy a GT with the rebates Ford is offering or do I hold off and buy a used 07-11 GT500....or do I keep the Cobra and wait for the 2015 and by then I can possibly afford to keep the Cobra and ad another to the stable?

Why do you want to sell your current Cobra? What year is it? If you like the 2011 Gt500 and can afford it now and important to you that you have the newer stang ,then I say go for it. Im sure Ford wont be offering any great rebates on the 2015 next generation at first.
If your current stang is running great and low mileage then why not hold onto it. Im not one to get rid of my 2011 just to get the newer style. I know all the hype about the 13 stang has a whopping 650 hp. I would imagine this would be 55 thousand plus.
Way cheaper to buy a 5.0 for like 33,000. Add an after market supercharger give it 200 more hp. Now your up to 600 plus hp. Get a bama tuner, new exhaust system, cold air intake and headers. Now your at 650 hp plus and way way way cheaper than the 13 Cobra.

Makes sense too me. Sounds like you got a sweet *** Cobra. 20,000 on a 03 is like nothing. Don't drive it much do ya, lol. I love to drive my stang. Mine is a 2011 and got like 7,300 miles. I do love the look of the newer stangs from 2010 on up. I think the 12 stang was given 420 hp. For me, my V6 with 305 hp is quick enough to satisfy my need for speed but lots of people need more hp. Of course I did get a bama sct tuner three weeks ago and man it was soooo worth it.
If you can afford and don't mind spending the loot for a new Cobra Gt500 then go for it. I would think a new 2012 5.0 would be able to keep right with your 03 cobra. You could always get a tune for your new 5.0 and gain extra hp for cheap. Just one mod.

Like you mention above, you can always get a 2020 later or even a used 2015 or 16 if you feel so inclined. I could go back and get a 2004 Cobra if I wanted to still. So no need to fret about it. I'm very interested in the 2015 but even after they are out, there will be more and if I have a 2013 by that time, I'll still be happy. Either way seems like a win.

I think I'm going to wait it out for now because I like what I have but I'd love a newer stang. Perhaps in a couple years I keep the Cobra and add a s197 to the garage
