Full body camo mule spotted
A Chrysler press conference around the time of the NYC Autoshow. The car was being pushed back with no new time frame or expectation. The focus instead would be on updating the Challenger. Seems there is no room for two small column Pony/Muscle cars so instead they will focus on the Chally's weight and handling issues.

That's what I thought as well, as the Cuda was expected to replace the Challenger in either 2015 or 16

Am I missing something? Is Chally really a thing?
Thats probably a good thing, I remember back in the day when the Cuda's and Challenger's were new cars and they were rattletraps and rustbuckets, Dodge and Plymouth were always that way.
I love my 2013 Mustang but if the day comes to sell it for a new Mustang I dont care if it is ugly as long as its V8 powered and its a Ford, I will buy it!

Please do not take this personally but I have noticed many on this site refer to the Challenger as "Chally" and it kind of drives me nuts. Where did this come from? I've heard people say "Stang" which is of course short for Mustang but i've never heard anyone actually say Chally. IMHO Chally sounds stupid and just seems lazy.

I must respectfully disagree and here's why ! If for example would you still buy a new Mustang if it looked anything like the 2005-06 GTO ? My guess would be no way in hell because if the car doesn't have any type of physical appeal to it, you're just not going to really enjoy it regardless of whether it's powered by a V8 or not..
That would be like saying you would settle for an unattractive or 400+LB woman as long as she had big *****, but would you really be happy if there were no physical chemistry or attraction involved ? My guess once again would be NO..
Before purchasing my 05 GT, I previously owned a Black 93 SVT Cobra that I owned for nearly 12 years and although I enjoyed my Cobra IMHO it just didn't look like a Mustang and every time I would see someone driving by in a first generation 65-70 fastback, I would feel so jealous wishing that car belonged to me instead of my Cobra but then again I was instantly attracted by the 1st generation cars when they were first introduced in 1964 to begin with and when Ford came out with the current S-197 in 04, I knew I had to buy one for that reason as it instantly reminded me of those first generation Stangs I grew up admiring and always wanted..
So needless to say, I traded in my 93 Cobra and have owned my current 05 GT ever since and have no regrets whatsoever
Consider this: Stang, Cuda, Maro, Olds, even Hemi are all short for the original full name and what do they all have in common?
They are all part of the full name with nothing added. "Chally" isn't in the word Challenger and Chally is an actual word that does not represent what a muscle car like the Challenger is:
http://dictionary.die.
A soft and delicate woolen, or woolen and silk, fabric, for
ladies' dresses.
Just sounds lame to call it that but certainly there are those that disagree and that's cool too

If there wasn't a competitive alternative in '06 when I bought my GT and the GT looked like the GTO, I still would have bought it because you can't see the outside when your driving and that V8 experience and sound can make up for almost any kind of ugly!

My wife accuses me of this all of the time. She says I am blinded by V8 sound and performance. I know what MCM means though, as I am a huge Ford and Mustang fan and unless they really screw it up I will have a '15.

As I said earlier, my previous Mustang was a 93 SVT Cobra and by no means did I ever consider that car as being ugly, but again my favorite body style was the 1st generation (65-70) fastback and when the current S-197 was introduced in 04, I didn't hesitate for one moment when trading in my Cobra for my current 05 GT..
But make no mistake about it, If the current S-197 did not exist, I would've held onto my Cobra until someone offered me the right price for it and then would look into finding a 67-68 fastback !
I hear ya, we're waiting to see what the '15 looks like before making any decisions. I know I'll be happy with it technologically and performance wise from what we think we know so far: IRS, should still have an available 5.0 etc.
But if it's a train wreck in the looks department we'll start heavily modding the '06 or maybe look at a classic Mustang

I know one thing for certain, if the 15MY is not a full fastback ? I will most definitely not part with my current 05 GT for **** sure
