No one would be complaining if the Fusion did not come out first. If the Fusion came out after the Mustang, everyone would be marveling how the Fusion has the Mustang front end.
Oh and the dang GT500 had a catfish grille opening in 1968 but no one ever complains about that! Matter of fact you can see some continuity of the 68 nose in the 2015 Mustang, including the brow over the headlamps reaching to the upper corners of the grille opening.

I guess all those clueless people on here should just sit back and listen to the self proclaimed omniscient one.
Seriously, if you don't like what someone writes and you can't be civil about it, then you are just as clueless as them. You and I may not agree with what these "clueless" people say, but that doesn't give you the right to bash them.
Everyone here is on this forum because we have a passion for the Mustang and what it means to us. (Except for the occasional troll.) Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's not our job to change their minds. But when you fail to do this, it shouldn't resort to name calling. Especially when you don't have the ***** to name names and speak in anonymity.

The side profile of that unknown vehicle looked decent. Could it be a passenger side front half shot of the new 15 stang. It looked like a Ford front to me and the lines reminded me of some alleged 2015 rendition mustang photos. Maybe its just me but!

I've heard as early as January or as late as April.
Even small stamping dies are typically 8-12 weeks lead time. Ordering a small stamping die right now means getting parts in december with the holidays that would mean likely missing an early January date. Something like a body panel is much more specialized stamping and a much larger die. They should be done by now except for tweaks and maybe adding a hole or something. They would need to be to have done the pilot runs and build the cars we see testing.
From the doors back being covered makes sense, that all has to be production tooling for a unit body car. However the fenders, hood, bumper covers, etc are all bolt on parts. all sorts of things can be done with a drill, an angle grinder, and some tape

Needs to be more Astony
To everyone that says the car looks like the Fusion. I would disagree.
For starters the Fusion looks like an Aston Martin. The mustang looks even more so like the Aston. Sure the Fusion has a few similar lines than the Mustang front but they look completely different to me. The mustang is way more aggressive and aston martin looking.

No offense, but by looking at your automatic v6 with racing stripes (really?), I don't think you have the market cornered on style or taste. Ford is looking to bring in more sophisticated buyers to the brand, and thats where they are going with the styling.

No offense taken but if I had a manual and the same boss stripes then that's style and taste? I'm confused as to what my boss striping an automatic has to do with anything? What does having a automatic have to do with anything on this topic? Little bit screwy, no offense!

You know, I was happy to see some pictures of the car with some shedded camo...at the same time, it seems all the threads have gone to heck because of so many strong opinions...I check updates on here and 6g religiously and am eager to see what the rest of the car will look like...
Can we get back to civilized debates and generally get along with our shared passion of the mustang and its heritage? I don't feel that should be asking too much...
We all have out opinions and none of us have seen the finished product. I'm sure we can all agree that we haven't seen the whole story this car will offer. Unfortunately not everyone will be happy but that's impossible anyway.
