Defog?
The recirculate will slow the defog process. Also, you could aim all of the air at the windshield instead of splitting it the the vents. Finally warmer air will defog faster so change the temperature to warmer.
Try those and see if it makes a difference.
My ST has a Max Defog button that sets all the settings for optimal defog. Does the Mustang not have this?

Agreed with above, turn Re-circulation Off for Defrost to work better. The cars with the Climate Control will not let you select Re-circulation when the Defrost is turned on.
Also, clean the windows at least 2-times. There is a film that builds up on the windows from the release of chemicals from the plastics, seats, and carpet, and this is always worse on brand-new cars (have owned 28-cars, of those, 15-cars were brand new) vs older or used cars. My experience is that this film seems to promote a worse fogging effect during the right conditions.
