Cool Sounds for Mustang Won't be Limited to Exhaust

While most of the attention has been focused on that exhaust note for the new Mustang captured in a few spy videos, it appears the next-gen pony car will also feature a hell of an audio system.

Building from a much quieter cockpit as covered here earlier, the new Mustang includes a number of new enhancements to the radio including a six-speaker configuration with separate high-frequency tweeters now mounted in the A-pillars, plus slimmer and lighter 6.5-inch door speakers with higher-fidelity mid-range and bass sound.

Read the rest on the Mustang Source homepage.

Hopefully the audio engineers designed it with flexibility in terms of switching out the stock speakers for better components.

I'm disappointed. I expected brand name audio like Bose, Boston Acoustic or HK. The Fusion and Focus have the Sony option we didn't even got that.

HOPEFULLY they did enough engineering this time and built a better interior so we don't get door rattle and have to listen to annoying plastic vibrations even at low volume...

My wifes Santa Fe has "fancy" name brand audio system in her car,

1 - nowhere near as powerful (bass response) as the mustang with the Shaker stereo

2- Clarity, hers will distort well before mine does as well....

Is your mustang equipped with the shaker stereo option? the base models on the 2014's don't have shaker and the stereo on those were pretty weak...
