With BMW, you can pick up your car in Munich at the plant/museum/performance center.
There you can get a tour of the plant, Get a FULL education on your BMW (and BMWs of the past), and even drive your own car on their test track. You can drive your own car around Europe on your vacation, and then BMW will ship the car back to the States for you.
It's a great program if you are going to be over there anyway, but gets a bit expensive to just do it. The money that you save on the car (there is a discount for this program) will be blown on the cost of the trip.
