STILL NO SPECIFICATIONS???

Umm...what's the hold up? The longer they wait, the more likely the curb weight is going to start with a "4."

Ok.. so it's unlikely that we're in for any real surprises (good or bad) but they're really dragging their feet.

Does anyone know what's up?

I'd think around when the order banks open we'll see specs.
No sense in tipping the hand yet

Well, all those Months of built up excitement and anticipation of expecting some serious news (Mustang Specs) from Ford during the 50-Anny celebrations didn't materialize.

I wouldn't be surprised, if we don't know much more than we know now before summer.

Looks like the momentum is slowing a little. Some new information or a magazine test drive or video might help crank things up a notch. All that is out there now is pretty stale !!

Is it just me or does it seem like you can get the performance pack on a 2.3 Ecoboost convertible?
For the GT premium it states Fastback only next to the package name, but on the Ecoboost Premium there are only 2 line items in the package that say Fastback only.

And why on earth is the spoiler delete part of the performance pack?!?!

And why can't you get a spare tire with the GT PP?? So much for making long trips in this car. Can't get the tan interior with a red car either.
Only black wheels on the GT PP? I hate black wheels!!
WTF Ford?? Good God, I might as well go get a Honda if I can't get a car I like.

EDIT: Someone needs to do one of those Hitler video clips *****ing about these options, or lack of.

As much as I like the performance pack I am not a fan of the black wheels.
But it looks like the 50th wheels are the same sizes as the PP wheels...
Most likely they can't be ordered separately.

Except the 50th Package wheels are the same style, but 19x8.5 instead of 19x9/9.5. That. Is. Stupid.

Or a V6 with the PP, I know Ford wants to push the (ughhhhh... lame name) Ecoboost (ughhhhh... lame name) Mustang but IMO every powertrain level should be available with a performance pack option.

Nothing worse than some marketing suit somewhere going; "You know what, I'll tell you what you need".

However the cynic in me knows I'll read this lame excuse somewhere; "We only had so much money available to develop the car. We really wanted to do a performance pack for the V6 car but our focus groups and marketing research as well as what the dealers told us including rental fleet companies indicated there was only a niche market for people who wanted a V6 performance car".

I see Mustang 360 got an early ride along in the EcoBoost car, the one thing I took from it was that the engine seemed to be carrying a lot of weight for 300hp which implies to me not much weight loss if any.

Look at it again, The 50th Appearance Pkg has the 19x8.5 wheel
The 50th Limited Edition has the same wheel in 19x9 F and 19x9.5 R.

It actually is logical based on the use case for the tires mounted to the wheels. The appearance package wheels carry all-season tires for a non-Performance pack set-up. Since the 50th anniversary edition is a GT with performance pack, the staggered set-up would follow, similar if it was a standard GT with performance pack.

This gives a choice between daily driver and higher performance uses. I was considering this option until I saw you could not do a spoiler delete if you choose the 50th anniversary appearance option.

I hear ya, but if you order the 50th Package + Performace Pack, you get the staggered PP wheels - why not just include the same 50th Edition wheels in that case?

Oh yeah, I think it was mentioned the 50th Package automatically deletes the spoiler, which is why you can't add the Spoiler Delete - the spoiler is already deleted

I still like the Saddle, but would prefer it actually look like a hide...

For someone like me, I'd rather have a square set-up because I want my tires to last. In other words, I personally like that option!!

I don't think that is 100% true. The performance pack deletes the spoiler. Since the 50th anniversary edition (not appearance package for the other models) is based on a GT with performance pack, that spoiler gets deleted.

According to one of the dealer folks who post, you cannot delete the spoiler that comes standard on a GT with the 50th anniversary appearance package. So unless something changes in the ordering system, I think it is only on the actual 50th anniversary edition (mind you that car has a different ordering code and thus VIN) that gets no spoiler.

There are photos of a GT with 50th anniversary appearance package that shows the standard GT spoiler located here.

Hmm true. I saw the pics, so maybe if you include the PP and 50th Pack it deletes the spoiler. I used to subscribe to the same train of thought, and still think that way somewhat, but after having the 315s on the back of my '03, I feel I'm going to go staggered on my '14...I just love that beefy rear end look!
