You know the more I look at this the more I see some hints of 69 and 70. Particularly in the hip and upper body line and how it blend into the front quarter. BUT, that is NOT to imply it is "RETRO".

That is how I interpreted it... Much like the Pony Package grille already has the horizontal chrome bar running the width of the grille with the pony emblem in the center. The pony still looks best caged.

but back on topic, I really like that purple one two posts up. My only beef would be that it still just looks like a refresh of the current gen. I'm kinda hoping for more radical change.

Although I'm also afraid of asking for that because that means a higher risk of it being ugly lol.

 

What if the body panels were evolutionary, but the front and rear fascias are more radical? I expect the interior to be more of an evolution all around than a massive change.

 

I'd take that. To me the body panels don't need much tweaking. And the '10-'14 were plain enough where you could spruce them up without overdoing it.

If they added a true 'C' scoop that would be pretty cool, but some people think they look tacky.

Interior wise I'm not worried. I like Ford's interior design direction as a whole. So much so that whenever I'm driving other cars it feels foreign to me. I've got zero complaints outside of cup holder placement in my stang. And cups ain't really allowed.

BUT, if this is close to what the guy who saw the 15 described, then the word that came out that the front will not have the Aston-like appearance that the Fusion and Taurus have must be incorrect. Or am I getting my stories mixed up?
