Still has the sound tube...

Airbox is smaller, fuse box is shaped different, and the strut towers appear to be different too. Looks like a new platform to me.

Still using the 2013 Fusion IP cluster and controls. The firewall is quite different. I wonder if the battery has been moved to another location.

Looks like the battery could be inbehind the shock tower under the cover (protected)
Big power cable looks to be going in behind it.

Wow that looks like a really tight fit. That is not the cars I saw. The ones I saw had the active grill. Not the lights.

Exciting stuff!

Wonder if this mule was left carelessly.............or whether is was left with the hood open for a reason.........nothing like getting the forums buzzin'

Any ideas what the cannister on top of the engine would be for? I'm guessing it something used during the testing, as opposed to a permanent addition to the engine bay.

Wow look at the metal reinforcing behind the headlights.

Looks like this could be the new inside edge of the fenders. Much more narrow and tapered at the front!

Front of the engine bay looks narrow, I noticed the shock tower where increase in size and merged with the fenders. Possible a new front suspension geometry?

i wonder what the mix is between the two platforms on that mule. obviously the new underpinings but current A pillar and interior shell (even if it is gutted) might be some compromises in there for testing purposes that will be ironed out on the mules with the new body creating more/different space in the engine bay.

I'm sure they'll find a way. No way there isn't a Cobra for the next gen anyway.

Hopefully. Cobra should still be around regardless of the which engine they use. It's a great car

I think you'll be impressed what they can do with the Coyote and forced induction.

Exactly, and code name for this new engine will be "Paul", as in twin turbo.

Can someone make a side by side comparison pic of the current under hood shot and the new one?
