J Mays has said in numerous interviews (which can be viewed on YouTube with a little research) that this is not going to be the case. Mustang and F-150 are Ford's cash cows and will not make use of the Kinetic design language seen across the rest of the fleet, they will remain unique.

I totally agree as it's a bit much to consider the Mustang as one of Ford's cash cows, however the Mustang has always been Ford's halo car in which there's no doubt about that !

70% of profits for USA, but globally it accounts for 90% of profits when you take into account the big loses selling vehicles in Asia & Europe. Ford is having a hard time making money outside USA, even in the big market of China.

That's because Ford is really behind in product offerings and marketing in China, since Ford never took this market too seriously until recently. When the Escort goes on sale in the next few years, Ford should be ok in China.
