2015 GT at Hooniverse in Los Angeles
I just happened to be in LA for work the past couple of days. Late last night, I heard that on "Unveiling Night" (12/5) that the new Mustang was going to be at Hooniverse in LA. I decided that I had to stick around to see this beauty live and in person. Unfortunately for me, I only had my iPhone with me to take photos.
Pictures really haven't done the car justice (especially the crappy phone pics I'm about to post). This car just rocks in person. It has presence. It's what I would call quietly aggressive. I love the contours of the front end in person, the way the grille and front end jut out. Those "hips"... or "dat ***"... they just look amazing in person, and really give the car that look that it is ready to pounce on its prey. Those taillights do look really great in person.
The car was the same car that was posted earlier, the one at Venice Beach and the one that appeared on Motor Trend's instagram account. As reported on earlier, this car did feature the Recaro's in cloth. The other thing that I noticed was that the rear diffuser was in body color, and not a black/body color combination. I definitely prefer the black diffuser better. I wasn't able to really get a good look inside, she was all closed up. Most people were keeping their distance so that everyone could get clear shots of the car.
And now on to the photos. Apologies for the bad cell phone pics. I tried to clean them up as best I could. There were also several very high powered lights to illuminate the car, and it was very hard to get a photo without them (or nasty reflections) in the photo. Enjoy.
