2015 Bullitt?
I expect that since the 2015 is going to be completely new, Ford is only going to have the base model and GT and let them have their year in the sun. Come out with the GT500 for 2016, then maybe in 2017 have a special edition like Bullitt, Mach 1, Boss, or whatever.
I agree completely with your vision of how Ford will handle production of the 2015 Mustang. I am thinking Ford will be so busy tooling up for production of the base Mustangs and Mustang GT that they will not have enough time to produce any ultra performance Mustangs like the GT 500. I did not want to wait for two more years for a car with the performance of the GT 500. So, I made the move to order a GT 500 before production is stopped. Also, I wanted an engine with a supercharger on it. There is no guarantee the 2015 + GT 500 will have a supercharger. I suspect Ford will switch to turbos for future performance cars like the GT 500.
I couldn't care less about making another Bullitt. I just wish they'd offer the dark green as a standard color. I'm sick of all the candy colors they've been using for the last several years.
I don't know if anyone would argue about the "Bullitt" but the features and color are what people like. I don't need a Bullitt but a low key package with performance and the green is killer.
If I'm going to buy a special addition it had better have more of a performance upgrade than any of the Bullitts did. The only things I liked about the last Bullitt were the color and the understated look without sacrificing any creature comforts. The lack of those in the Boss is one of the things that kept me from buying one.
My hopes are that dark green becomes a standard color and in a couple of years we get a GT350 w/ Boss performance, but available w/ all the same extras as any standard Mustang.

I could see Ford offer a 2015 Bullitt Mustang. After all , the Bullitt Mustang represents a decontented Mustang with performance enhancements a detective could own for moving around town quickly. Chrysler and GM are offering stripped down versions of their pony cars. Why would Ford not choose to offer a Bullitt Mustang to counter those stripped down high performance cars ? What better name than Bullitt to call a stripped down Mustang ? LX ? I don't think LX would excite as many people. Bullitt it will be !
Wasn't the "Bullet" originally slated to be the return of the Boss, that fell short on delivering what the Boss brand should represent? Don't get me wrong, I live the Bullet cars but I can't see the value in paying royalties on the name for such a niche car. Just being the concept into the new naming hierarchy.
