"Well, this is weird" with a happy (for now) ending. Radio Issues
Hey, all. 2013 Mustang GT Just coming home from Costco, Sirus/XM on, when the radio acted up. Three or maybe one long crack and pop through the audio system and all sound and functions ends. The radio screen goes blank with just the time showing. No manipulation or punching of buttons on the panel does anything. Got it home expecting to start pulling fuses but went on YouTube to see what it shows. In the comments of one video several people mention pulling the negative wire to the battery terminal and leave it unconnected for 30 or so minutes. Well that doesn't cost anything but time so I tried it and reconnected not quite 30 minutes later. It took a few extra turns before the engine fired but after hitting the "AUX" button the audio system woke up and is operating normally. I don't know if the button manipulation or simply time is what kicked it on. I didn't even lose my pre-programmed stations on XM or radio.
Anyone else have this happen and what happened afterwards.
