My drivers seat leather is cracking. Is this covered under warranty?

 

Normally 12,000 miles or 12 months, I believe. I have had VW replace a leather seat back for me after the warranty had expired ( 2 years) simply as a courtesy and the dealer stepped up to the plate defending me. So, give it a shot.

 

I tried to get mine replaced, was told not covered by warranty, considered a "wear and tear" item.

 

If it is wear and tear... no.
If it is a factory defect... yes (it might require being a little "pushy" though).

My driver's seat bottom was replaced under warranty with 21k.
