Sync not cooperating like before

In the past few days my Sync apparently doesn't like me. Names and commands that I've said countless times are coming up with odd returns and aren't working like before. Nothing has changed in the car. Same phone, same iPod connected.

I'm running a HTC Evo 4G and a 160GB iPod Classic in the vehicle. Last night I tried deleting and re-downloading my phonebook, re-pairing Bluetooth, and even going as far as a master reset. I tried to issue commands and it said "contact not available in the phonebook at this time".

So, to follow up, has anyone else had a similar issue, and if so, what can be done to repair it? I highly doubt the microphone is damaged, and I'd prefer not to head to the dealer for it, but I will if I have to.

Update:

I did the master reset, re-paired BT, and downloaded the phone book again. Everything is working well and the voice recognition seems to be back to normal.

This sounds similar to what's happenning to me, for some reason my Blackberry stopped working properly. I can only make a call through sync by starting the call from my phone. How did you do the master reset? I've tried re-pairing my phone and all that but I'm still not having in luck getting working again.

The master reset is in the Sync options in the radio. It wipes everything and you'll have to re-pair and download the phonebook.

I found that after I did all that, I had to cycle the BT on my phone, and also cycle the car itself to get things to work.
