Sync bugs

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7...-myford-touch/

I am a big fan of Sync but it's performance with my iPod has degraded since day 1.

I have had the iPod in the car since I took delivery in June. I haven't pulled the iPod out to even add music. Suddenly a few weeks ago, I started getting an error that the device couldn't handle voice commands. A few days after that I started getting an error that the index was full - even though I hadn't added or removed any devices. Now if I try to play something it is just stuck at "Indexing" and won't proceed. I'm going to do a full system reset to see if that will fix it but it's frustrating because I haven't changed a thing.

It's great technology, it just needs work. I'm at IT professional and it's aggravating for me so I can only imagine how quickly someone who is not a technofile would drop the use no matter how great it seemed.

Hope to see the updates for everyone before too terribly long...

Mine works pretty well. Far better for picking albums than dialing calls.

My problem is I wish I could browse an artist and pick on the albums by saying 1 or 2 or 3 instead of having to know the names of all the albums.

I have some albums that are called xxx (special edition) or yyy (deluxe edition). It's a pain to know the extra info.

I'm gonna. Just a PITA. I guess I should have made the point when I posted this in the general section that the link at the top was most of the point of the post rather than my annoyances. :-)
