Key fob intermittent non function
Excuse this if it is a re-post. The key fobs for my '13 GT would not work ortook several button depressions to unlock, lock, trunk, etc. I opened them up and discovered that cheapdielectric grease was put on the battery and the contacts. Cleaned it off and the fobs work perfectly.

The fobs are cheap and poor quality. I had to return mine to the dealer 2 months after ownership because of this same issue. They said it's such a big deal for them that they rarely have the Mustang versions in stock. Took 3 weeks to get a new one

I just started having this problem with just about a year on the clock. It's rather annoying especially when you are carrying lots of stuff and can only juggle hitting the button once till you start dropping things. I'm going to see about taking mine apart and check for the grease that was mentioned.

I have had the same problem... I just open the key, wipe clean, a snap back together. I have extra batteries as I thought that might be the problem. It is not. Mine start to have an issue every 3-4 weeks. So I open the key, wipe ( takes off a small amount of dirt), an put back... Works like it should. Yes, should not but works. Sucks, yes. But not a big issue.
