Blower motor making fast clicking noise

Whenever i have the blower turned on, normal air circulation, A/C, heat, whenever the car is started and air is coming out of the vents, i hear a very fast clicking noise like "tick tick tick tick tick" It is very annoying. Anyone have this or know what it is? It is a constant sound whenever i have the air coming out of there.

turn the fan on and figure out where the motor is, probably behind the glove box. There should be 3 screws there holding it in place. Drop it out and there should be a leaf or something in the fan gills.

I had a small mouse sucked up in the blower of an old car I had. Pretty disgusting smell after a few days

I have had that since I got mine.
Taken it in for service too several times- but the repair guys say its "normal" Right.....The tick drives me mental(more noticeable if you drive with the window down like I tend to do).

I've got another blower motor ordered, so we will see what happens.

I don't know if you'd call it a ticking noise, but my 99 GT went through 3 blower motors. They were quiet at first, but began making a chirping noise, kind of like a poorly lubricated bearing. This may be the same noise you're hearing.

Well i replaced the blower motor, still made the noise, then i went around to ever mustang on the lot, turned the blower on, and they all made the same noise. The tech and I checked out other cars, listend to the focus, five hundred, explorer, f-150, they all make the same noise. The explorer and f-150 are not as loud of a ticking noise though. Guess ford just can't make good blower motors.

Had this problem since I got my car, started to get louder over time and I sent it into service twice for it. First time said it could be a leaf (it was Fall after all). Winter came and it got really loud and annoying, I took it back to the service department and the tech said he would order another one since I complained twice. When he took the old one out he noticed that there were signs of the blades hitting the casement. Since then my new on has never done it.

I have replaced the blower motor but that didn't fix it. Additionally, last week, the blower isn't even coming on regardless of of heat, AC, etc. or fan speed. I put hand on the blower and can feel it ticking.

Highly doubt your going to get a response from Airwolf anytime soon.. His last activity on this forum was from 10 years ago and the last activity on this thread was over 15 years ago..

Thanks for that. Turns out that I needed to replace my resistor as well. Clicking is still there but from other posts, it looks like I need to change the actuator motor. Will try that next, At least I have my blower working again. Not pleasant without AC in Texas.

My 2010 just started making a clicking noise from the dashboard when I first start the car. It sounds like "click - click - click - click - click" about as fast as you would read that in your head, without rushing or reading slowly, LOL, if that makes any sense. It seems to be fan or duct actuator related. It stops after about 10 or 20 seconds or so. Any educated guesses on what this might be, greatly appreciated.

I haven't searched the threads on this yet, I guess that will be next, when I get serious about fixing it.
