Hello everyone I’m having a heck of a time diagnosing this squeak I’m hearing when I’m parked and coasting. I’ve checked and tightened my PCV hoses to my catch can. My vacuum lines to my brake booster. Next I was going to replace my intake manifold gasket but I really only hear it on the driver side anytime I go to the passenger side there’s no noise. The valve cover gasket is new and I have aftermarket bolts cause the factory ones kept breaking on me. I’d appreciate any input I’m starting to think now it may be a bad water pump?
My fan kicks on about the 5 second mark I think that’s the sound you hear but it’s the slight squeak/chittering that’s more prominent in the beginning. I’ll try and get another video when it’s cooler so the fan won’t come on
No problem and yeah it’s not a very concerning sound more annoying as it’s much louder driving when coasting and driving it real slow in parking lots it’s allot more prominent but the sounds of the exhaust and other engine components make it hard to pinpoint and hear. It’s easier for me to ID as there’s been no noise like this before
I did Some Digging and Turns Out One of The Nipples on the Pcv System is a Pcv Valve. Just An Fyi As I Have Heard Similar Weird Noises From PCV Valves Back in the Day. Perhaps & I Don't Know For Sure With Your Turbo Setup a Regular Nipple Less Valve Would Be Better.
Original Part Could Be Disabled If required.
Anyhow Just an Fyi to Check. Could Also Be a Damaged Valve Internally.
Have You Tried Disconnecting R/H Valve Cover Tube and Plugging At Intake Side Then Checking For Noise??
If So It Was a Thought If Not I Would Give it a Try!
Caution it Says if Removed It Shears Section and Must Be Replaced {Valve Itself}

I think The Routing & Tee Maybe Part of the Issue. I Believe the Oil Can Should Simply Be Installed in line Between Upper Intake Vacuum Source and Pcv That's it And Other Hoses Back to Original Configuration. I Can't See Everything Going on And Maybe Something With the Turbo Install Has Changed Something But if You Look At The Separators Online They Mostly seem to Be an INLINE Install.
Would you recommend just a filter over the passenger valve cover pvc fitting?
I'm Just Saying For test Purposes in the DriveWay. If it Stops the Noise I Would Advise Hooking Driver V/C Back to Original Hook up! The Catch Can Inline Should Do the Job You are Looking For. I think the tee is Making it Fight itself and Maybe Creating the Noise. Pulling the Driver Side Off Temporarily Should Show if it Is the Cause If I am Seeing Everything. I Can't Really See All the Hose Connections Well.
ACTUAL FORD PCV ILLUSTRATION Ya It's Kinda Primative
See The Air Has to Come In Somewhere. To Me Its Got No Air Intake Coming In Needs Intake Source Between Air Box & Throttle Body. Anyway That is How it Was on a N/A Engine. Now I Believe Filtered Air at Driver Valve Cover Would Work. First thing is Does Noise Stop. If Noise Persists I Still Believe PCV System Needs Some Changes Regardless.
What Brand of Kit is This I am really Flying Blind without Some Detail on the Install?? Need to See Air Filter Setup. The Turbo Kit Instructions in Pdf Would Be Really Good to See if Available!
Had an extra filter I just threw on the driver side valve cover but just moving it in the driveway seemed quiet still gotta drive her around a bit but I’ll update after I test drive
