AXLE SEAL LEAK

Has any one heard of a axle seal problem? 4 months and 4500 miles of ownership the right seal blew out. Took it to the dealer and they replaced it. Now 3 weeks and 1000 miles its starting to leak again. Well back to the dealer I go.

Service advisor told me they are putting a new axle in. Said this is a first for him, so y'all don't have to worry to much. I received the 1:100,000 crappy axle. LOL

I have had my right rear axle seal replaced twice now, but I do track my car and I get lots of heat generated back there. So much so that the rubber dust seals on the calipers crack.

28k miles on mine and the left rear axle seal leaked.
Because of all my mods, I chose to have a small shop do the repair, and they put in a different axle seal that rode in a different spot on the axle shaft, since the seals wear down the metal of the axles as they turn, and the new seal now rides on a slightly different spot on the shaft, so no more leak.

i also switched to Amsoil Severe Gear 75w140 axle fluid
