2013 Boss 302 tranny problem

My 2013 has the usual tranny lock out problem at over 7000 rpm. I was merging into traffic and the shifter locked up and I was all most run over by a semi truck.
I called Ford and they set up a appointment where the service manager with my rideing with him drove the car and could not reproduce the problem but he never got it above 4500 rpm.
I have a Blowfish adaptor and a new Steeda shifter I would like to install in the car but my dealer said it would kill my warrenty.
I don't know if I should go ahead and install the new parts and take the chance this so called tranny would last or wait for it to blow up and let Ford replace it.
When it locked up It sounded like there was a ball bearing in the gears so I am worried about it going out.
2013 Boss 302
Bone stock with track key
17,600 miles
Very little hard driving, never tracked
If I have to repleace this on my own I will put a build C6 in it and not have to worry about it anymore.

Yes thats right. I will build a manual valve body tranny with the extra clutches etc. and run a Hone overdrive unit behind it.
I will have to build a bell houseing and modify a torque converter for it.
I considered the 10 to12 auto but they are made in France and elsewhere and I am kind of tired of buying forgine made crap that won't last.

Can you try another dealer? I just had this conversation with a dealer yesterday who said (correctly) that the replacement shifter would have to directly cause a transmission failure to kill the warranty. An existing manufacturer's defect would be covered. But this only matters if the dealer is willing to go to bat for you.

+1, the issue most likely wasn't caused by the shifter as it doesn't change anything that would break the trans. High RPM lock out is the clutch or something else internally.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was the clutch as it is hard to get into gear but the loose shifting and notichness is probaly in the tranny or shifter but I could be wrong. Really can't find out without pulling it apart.

Hey guys I got a buddy who just took his 2013 BOSS 302 car to Rodeo Ford in AZ. They confirmed the tranny needs to be serviced - however he is very frustrated it will take so long to do so. Ford is quoting him 6 months. Can any of the service reps help us out? Deysha or Nikki?

Thank you in Advance.

Wrong. The 6R80 is made here in the USA and is **** near indestructible.
