2013 axle seals leaking only 40k

My TPMS always go off so I was filling up the tires and noticed something leaking on the wheels. Felt around and diff and breaks were clean. Took it in for an oil change and let them know what was going on. Turns out the axle seals are leaking. Said the seals were about $50-60 but its about 3 hours of labor since they pretty much have to take off the axels to replace them. Said it would $400-500. He told me to call ford and see if they would do it.

Anyone having issues? My bumper to bumper expired over the summer. Is this something covered with the power train warranty?

I'm looking at this...

http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/g...13Warranty.pdf

Powertrain is 5/60,000, and on pages 10-11 that details what the powertrain is. The axle is included and so are the axle shaft seals. The paragraph in question:

Rear-Wheel Drive: axle shafts, bearings (front
and rear), center support bearing, drive axle housing (including all
internal parts), drive shaft, propeller shafts, retainers, supports, seals and
gaskets,
universal and constant velocity joints.
You are in fact covered, provided there's not some reason they can give to deny it. Have Ford deal with it for you.

Awesome. Thanks for that. I am lowered and have aftermarket wheels. Hopefully they still work on it.

The lowering and wheels should not matter to that problem, and if that's all they can point to, they ain't got a leg to stand on.
