I'm no expert but I've been following all of these blown #8 threads on numerous sites. The consensus seems to be not only by the forum members but even those who have come in contact with ford engineers and other professionals have been told the same thing. Supposedly some tuners were too aggressive with how they desensitized the knock sensors to get more power. That being said steeda has had no engine failures. I've been to their Florida location and it's quite impressive and professional and gives you an idea of the quality they put into the stuff they make.
