I'll have that for you. I just got the boss block. There was a long delay in shipping.
I'm talking the car in tomorrow to Blue Collar Performance in Westland Mi for the block swap. I'll ask them to take pictures.

Great news! Really looking forward to seeing what happened in there. Take some close pics of the cylinder wall on that one, and the piston top, skirt, and ring lands for sure. Thanks.

That would be great. But is it disassembled?

Not yet I'm dropping her off tomorrow.

Towing it in so I don't damage the heads.

Did your tuner modify the knock sensors, if so who was it and what did they do?

What were you doing when you noticed the smoke? Cruising, racing, what gear were you in?
Srsly? No reply?

It's not like that sir.

I've answered these questions at the beginning of this thread and answered them on a thread someone started on the S197 forum.

** Brenspeed and I don't know if they modified them or not but they've had the same exact tune and have never updated it like other tuners** Brenspeed does not care and doesn't want to make it right**

Lol, I was driving in Detroit. I was going about 35. There was no " boom" the check engine like came on and was flickering. Then I saw a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust. A LOT like a turbo diesel f250 trying to spool his turbo in place.

I answered them for you. Sorry, I was just a little tired of having to explain it over and over again. If you have more questions I will answer them.

The awesome guys of Blue Collar Performance in Westland Mi have already pulled and disassembled the motor! They are way ahead of schedule and they're working so hard to get my 5.0 running again. They're even sending pictures VIA text as they progress. I will never go to another performance shop again! Only they'll work on my car from this point on forward. They definitely are winning my business for life! I know they do great work. Ron has been building engines for 20+ years! They do have a website www.bluecollarperformance.com.

Welp there it is. Like the other pics we've seen. Shame on Brenspeed!

If they modified the knock sensor sensitivity or authority I would spend an hour a day (he who shall not be named style) and post those pictures and that information everywhere so people knew that's what Brenspeed did, and it cost you thousands of dollars.

Can you send the tune file to another tuner and have them check out what may have done this as far as the tune is concerned?

My vote from now on is to refer to him as "he who shall not be named"

Hey Sam, another possible route you could go is to see if whoever wrote your tune will possibly pay for the cost of repairs and "make things right."

I dunno , just spitballing here.

Congrats on the progress
