The convertible top has foam along the quarter window. The foam is glued and it get pushed out when the top is down. In july i had the dealer replace the foam. It took 10 days to get it back from the dealer. It's september and glue is letting go again. The summer heat and the pressure on it when its against the wheel well, push it out. The car has 9000 miles on it . I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks and no word from Ford. The dealer just takes pictures and sends them in.
Any vert owners having issues with this part. I noticed at a recent show that all of the 2008-2010 stangs with vinyl tops looked good without issue. but the two 2011's with cloth tops had the foam coming out??

 

Well I haven't had any issues on the vinyl top version. If it was getting removed is it catching on the back quarter or is it the top when its up?

 

When the top is down it gets tight against the wheel well and that squeezes it out.
