Exclamation Foam in the Sound Tube?

Hey guys, owner of a 2015 Mustang GT w/Performance Package here.

I used to own a 2011 Mustang GT and I recall there being foam in the intake's resonator tube to quiet the engine sound. I removed the foam and loved the increased sound from the engine. Does anyone know if the new 2015's have a similar sound or resonator tube, and if so, is there removable foam like in the 2011-14 models? I'd love to have some more noise in the cockpit without having to blow 2k on a decent exhaust system.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Charlie

I don't believe Ford is using the sound tube anymore. I know on the EB the engine noise is now amplified and electronically transmitted into the car though the sound system. This is something the Euros, such as BMW, have been doing for many years.

The GTs still have the sound tube, don't know if there is fosm in it. Simple answer, take it off and look.

This guy gives a step-by-step on how to remove the foam piece from the sound tube by going under the hood, but another guy in the comments section says you can remove the foam from INSIDE THE CABIN by removing the gas pedal???

Can anyone confirm this? I took a look myself, and it appears the pedal is attached to a black plastic base by 3 nuts (10 MM, deep socket) and an electronic harness, so I'm guessing the foam piece is behind the plastic base.
