Need some help with a few problems

Alright so i have a few things that I need help fixing on my 2000 v6 convertible. When I turn on the car, sometimes the odometer comes on right away, and sometimes it doesn't. If it does not come on right away it will usually come on after a few minutes. Also it will sometimes just turn off when I am driving. Is this due to a loose ground wire? And if so, how can I go about fixing that. Also, I have a problem where my brake on the front right tire will make a clunking noise (not a hard clunk i just don't know how to explain the sound) when stopping, and it slows down as the car does, so i have no idea if it is something to do with rotor or what. This is my first car I have had it for a few months and I am by no means a mechanic, I have just recently taken an interest in automotive, so any info about what this could possibly be would help!

Thanks,
-Nick

for the brake noise it could be calipers/pistins sticking perhaps, pads might be hitting the roter, has ANY work been done to this car at all?? I would pull the wheel and have someone in the car (park break applied) with it running (to keep the vacuume up) push the breaks and relase them see if any thing is binding up with the moving parts, also put the car on a lift or jack it up some so the wheel can rotate freely and see if you hear any noises, also while the wheel is in the air grab at the 12 and 6 positions and check for play (up and down movement) in the wheel, then repeat for the 3 and 9 positions, this will check the suspension for any thing loose which also could cause your clunk, but the fact your stating it happens to slow down leads me to think your break hardware may be binding somehow...
