Question Click Sound When Stepping on Break, is that normal?

So this could be completely normal and I'm just paranoid, but I just noticed that when the car is turned on when I press on the break in Park there is a click noise under the gearbox/gear selector (automatic transmission). When the car is off it doesn't make the sound.

I usually have music on and have never noticed it before but I just want to see if that's normal or not or if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

I have a 2013 V6 Automatic.

Thanks in advance!

Hi cleverfool,

I recommend you get this noise checked out at your dealer and make sure there’s nothing else going on. Then PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate it to the customer service manager if needed.

I think you're probably hearing the gear selector lockout. You know how you have to step on the brake to shift out of Park...Is that what you're hearing?

Working normally, I'd bet.
