Weird stereo-sub pickup issue
I've got a Shaker500 in my 401A GT, and added an infiniti basslinkII not too long ago. I've been having a weird issue with it since:
I'm wired using the high level inputs on the sub (there's 4) pulling from one of the voicecoils on the driver's door sub (if I use both I get no sound, and it doesn't seem to be a polarity issue). Anyways, it works fine, but after 10 minutes the sub goes to sleep (no overload/clipping light lit, and even when just used at low volumes, just seems after time, it stops sensing).
I'm not using a remote turn-on, as it recommends not to when using high level inputs. However, as soon as I turn the key on the car to off (as music still plays), the sub comes right back.
This has to be some sort of weird issue with how the basslink detects audio for remote turn-on. I think my next test will be to just jump the 12V turn-on pin to the +12V, and see if that brings it back, if so I can just wire it to a key-on 12V source.
Otherwise I probably need to get a LOC (any recommendations for a single sub use?) or possibly have a bad sub.
Thoughts? I'll post results of jumping the trigger shortly.
