If you actually recieved a confirmation email that u were on the waiting list then he emails you when the units are ready and sends u a link to purchase the unit. Check all your spam folders. I think thats where i found my email

Whats up. Got this product in and installed it. Over all really impressed with it and like it alot. I took a few basic pics along the way i will get more detailed ones when i have a little time. Its my first day with it but so far id rate it as follows

Packaging: 10/10

Fit and Finish: 8.5/10 - the chrome trim piece around the ipad has a few imperfections in the dip. Nothing crazy and it shouldn't matter if you arent very ****. Also it could have been sanded a little more around the chrome trim... What i mean is i had a few flakes of paints and material around my ipad when i took it out.

Quality and Durability: 10/10 - it does seem like a top notch product with alot of time invested into it. I'm very happy with it. The magnets provided are very very strong. But pay attention to the polarity of them. I got mine mixed up and started mounting magnets and when i got through one side stuck and one side was pushed out from the bezel lol (magnets got reversed on install) but im very confident the mount will not fly off of the radio during hard acceleration. The iPad inside the the mount is sturdy i would say. I shook it very hard and it didnt seem loose to me. But i have not done any test so please dont assume its bullet proof. I just assume not have it installed when tracking and what not. It does slide in and out very very easily.

I know the unit is expensive as most have said but... I have seen no others like it. It's stylish and innovative and very durable. After all it was built by an audio shop who obviously has experience in this field. How much would u pay for a quality double din unit... $800+? So if u have the iPad or even if u dont... IMO an iPad is better than any screen you could possible buy. With movies, internet, gps, music... The whole package.

Sorry my review was rushed im in a hurry lol here are a few pics if you have any questions hit me up. My final verdict.... Im impressed!

If you have the Navigation could you use the Dongle and sync an Ipad or Iphone to get the information on the built in Navigation Screen?

to those who are already owning that piece: are you happy with the quality?
I am not.
I have installed the dock friday last week, but from the very beginning, two magnets from the back came loose so I fixed them with glue.
On sunday while pulling out the iPad from the dock, the longish magnet inside of the dock came loose as well. Fixed it again with glue.
Today, while I was pulling out the iPad again, the entire Chrome Frame came loose...man this was p***** me off big time.No big deal if the dock would have been a cheap piece of plastic but for that amount of money, I am expecting much more reliability and quality.

I already emailed Tom from the dock company but no reply so far.
Don't know what'll happen, because I am sitting in germany and my girlfriend brought this piece along when she were overseas last week.

Very frustrating because basically the dock is fitting perfect into the console and the look and feel is also amazing, but not under the circumstances given.

I'm definitely not experiencing any of these problems you mentioned, i use my dock quite a bit and remove it quite often too, no problems with it at all.

hopefully you can get into contact with tom and get everything worked out.

I almost wonder if heavy duty velcro would work better then magnets.

Only issue with velcro is depending on the climate conditions where you live I have seen velcro strips come loose as the glue gets warm and leave a gooey trail as it slides down. once this happens it won't stay in place.

the magnets work great.

problem with velcro is when you take your dock out of the car, you will have ugly velcro stuck on the radio.

might as well not even use the dock in that case where you could just velcro the ipad to the radio lol and that would be very ugly.

Wow i didnt expect so many ppl to be interested. As it stands John is 1st, mr V 2nd and clc 3rd. Im wanting $315 shipped. Paypal as a gift. It cost me $379 plus $15 in shipping from musicar northwest. I need to order a new set of magnets from them. I had to superglue mine to the back of my radio bezel. I can get in touch with tom at musicar and order a new set to be shipped with the dock. If anyone is still interested just let me know. Would take at least two weeks id imagine

Hi again,

I have already posted my issue with the Dock and emailed Tom about that.
He replied immediately and admitted that another customer is having similar issues with the Dock and that he will find a solution for us.This is now two months ago, but still no solution or reply.Gave him a wake-up mail - w/o success.
Don't want to blame this guy, I only want to use that thing properly and someone who is true to his words.
Both is not gonna happen so far and I also don't want to start a ****storm here or on Facebook.
Suggestions? Feedback? Anyone here in closer contact to that company?

Thx

According to FB, Tom has had some very serious and life changing events happen in his life which have put a delay on several things for him (i think i read something tragic like loss of a son). I'm not sure if you are emailing Tom directly, but if you are, try emailing or calling musicar rather than Tom and see if you can get a response that way. I'd also be sure to include the response from Tom about how they were working on a solution.

Here is mine for the time being. Not as classy as most of you, but gets the job done and cheap too.

Thanks TJ, that explains everything.
I'll try to catch up with musicar by phone.
