Can you explain a little more? It looks like the tablet is stuck to the console :-)

I just used the 3M Velcro strips. Cut them in half and attached two small pieces to the console and two to the back of the tablet.

sure. Once I leave work at 6 I'll snap a pic and post it. It ain't the prettiest without the tablet, but not awful. I usually leave it up all the time.

Any new news yet on production? I'd really like to pick one of these up as well.

sorry I cannot longer recommend Musicar.
Had a chat with a guy called Don on tuesday this week. He promised me to inform Tom the same evening about my issue and to come back to me either by phone or e-mail. What should I say? Nothing happened, again. This piece is not a cheap one and everyone who bought it is aware of the price, but as soon as it comes to an issue (like me), the so called service ended immediately.
Very disappointing.I know my complaints in this forum will not make my Dock better, but I'd like to take the opportunity to inform everyone who is maybe about to get one.
Better go for a different solution, Musicar won't help you as soon as there is an issue with the Dock.

I just noticed they took down their video about the iPad mini mount as well. That doesn't bode well which is a shame because I think they'd sell a ton.

I hung my tablet at no cost with web straps, but it had three big disadvantages. It swung back and forth under hard cornering, it was too low, and it covered many of the radio controls.

So I bought a mount made by Ram. It holds the tablet very securely and has it mounted where it doesn't cover any of the radio controls and is high enough that I can glance at it and still have my eyes on the road. One end of the carrier is spring loaded, so getting my Google Nexus 7 2013 in and out is a breeze. The end 'caps' are large enough the I don't have to remove my tablet from its Devicewear Ridge case. It cost just over $76 but my initial assessment is it is well worth it. I sent an email to the manufacturer to tell them about my satisfaction with their product and received a reply from the President the same afternoon. I can supply part numbers and on-line merchant if anyone is interested.

That looks nice. What navigation apps do you use on the Nexus? I have the first gen nexus 7.

I use Sygic. I believe it is from Slovakia. The app is free but you buy the maps and POIs - a lifetime license with free upgrades. I paid about $90 for maps of the whole world, but they have frequent sales. It supports multiple waypoints and you can specify your destination by address, GPS coordinates, and several other ways. You can also have the voice directions spoken in a variety of languages. Mine speaks to me in Italian. The maps are stored on your tablet so no connection is needed other than to GPS satellites.

That looks great. I , sadly, live in California. It's illegal to hang anything on your windshield here.
